The Hero's Journey is an adventure that takes you deep inside yourself. It is a journey of self-discovery, of learning about your own innermost desires and fears. It is a journey to freedom, to the discovery of your true self, it is a journey of transformation, of learning to become the person you were meant to be. It is a journey of self-awakening, of discovering the hidden power within you, it is a journey of inner peace, the peace that only comes when you know who you are.
The challenge many face when beginning their journey is the fear of the unknown, the insecurity of stepping into the darkness, so they remain stuck in their comfort zone. They choose instead to keep suffering, rather than face the fear and step out into the light.
