What happens when you hear euphonious, silky, entuned and entrancing voices?  Sound good?

Your speaking voice is a powerful communication tool, and learning how to use your voice, blending sounds to add juice and deeper meaning to the words you speak, brings a richer experience to the listener.

The more you use your speaking voice purposefully and congruently, you will find the effectiveness and impact of what you say increases!

In this Masterclass session, I will talk about pace, volume, pauses, resonance and tone.  We will practise some vocal warm up techniques, tune up our voices, ears and awareness, and get playful with some exercises.

I have been helping clients with their voice and communication for almost 30 years.  Daughter of Laura Spicer (Spicer Ameldian Associates Ltd. and former Director of Sound Practice for the Society of NLP) and Nicholas Spicer (Analytical Psychologist), the seeds of curiosity in voice and well-being were sown from a young age. I began my NLP journey in the 1990s, attending courses in London with Dr. Richard Bandler and Paul McKenna, and have had the privilege of being a member of Paul McKenna’s assisting team for many years. I also started a professional path in voicework with my mother Laura in the 1990s. I trained in her techniques while working closely with her. I later moved to Spain, where I lived for 10 years, and learnt to communicate in a foreign language for the first time, which was challenging, formative, and an experience which added to my ideas, knowledge and love of the ways that we communicate.

The voice trainings are fun and engaging! Working with people to release tensions and develop vocal flexibility, range, clarity and variety, so that they can use their voice to help get the responses they desire. There are loads of useful exercises for all, it’s like a voice gym, where we get to experiment and practise, breathing new life into words, using our voices more expressively, and with great opportunities to explore feedback.

Since my return to the UK ten years ago, I have continued working as a coach, consultant and trainer with private clients and in a variety of corporate and business settings.  I enjoy working with children on their learning journeys, in classrooms and 1:1, helping them to find their passion for learning, language and vocal skills. And I particularly love working with both adults and children for whom English isn’t their first language.

Voice has always been a Spicer family passion, as has helping people to feel more confident in their lives. Exploring how the voice can be used purposefully in all its variety and of course, in areas of hypnosis and NLP has been a much loved family pastime as well as a professional dedication.  It is an honour to continue to share so many of my parents’ tools and techniques and something which is very close to my heart. Whether running group trainings or working closely with an individual, the NLP techniques and strategies I use are the magic ingredients, making learning purposeful and pleasurable and helping my clients transform and achieve their goals.
