The swish is one of the cleanest, most elegant change techniques in NLP. It also fails more often than almost any other technique, and the reason is almost always the same. The practitioner skipped the calibration, rushed the submodality work, and ran the swish on a state that wasn't actually loaded.
Done properly, the swish is reliable, fast, and feels almost magical to the client. Done sloppily, it produces a polite client smile, no real shift, and a quiet suspicion that NLP doesn't work. The technique isn't the problem. The setup is.
